Gifts of Stocks & Securities
Did you know that you can donate stocks and securities to help support OLOR?
Gifts of stocks and securities are an alternative way to support your Parish! This type of gift must be done through the Diocese of St. Petersburg (DOSP) broker. But don't worry! It's an easy process and if you follow the instructions below, your gift will automatically be forwarded from the DOSP to Our Lady of the Rosary (OLOR).
Step 1: Carefully read the Stock/Securities Transfer Instructions. This document includes all of the account/transfer information you will need to provide to your Broker to make the stock transfer.
Step 2: Have your Broker make the stock/securities transfer following the instructions from Step 1.Step 3: Complete the Stock/Securities Donation Notification Form. Email the completed form to [email protected] AND [email protected]. It is crucial that this form be completed and submitted promptly after the transfer to ensure your gift is properly allocated to OLOR.
Tax Benefit: Talk to your Broker/Financial Advisor about gifting appreciated Stocks/Securities with low cost basis to reduce capital gains tax plus benefit from a charitable deduction!

QCDsQualified Charitable Distributions

Individuals overs 70 1/2 with a traditional IRA can make a tax-free "Qualifed Charitable Distribution" (QCD) each year directly from their traditional IRA to a qualified charity like Our Lady of the Rosary. Distributions must be made directly from your IRA account to Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church.
Benefit to YOU: You typically pay income tax on each traditional IRA distribution. The benefit of a QCD to you is that you do not pay any federal tax on the distribution. In addition, the QCD can be used to satisfy part or all of your annual IRA Required Minimum Distribution (RMD). Also, these gifts help you avoid the Medicare high income surcharge and can help reduce your income taxes on your social security benefits.
Benefit to Our Lady of the Rosary: The Church receives the full amount of your charitable donation!

Legacy Made EasyNaming Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in your will, trust or as a beneficiary on a life insurance policy or IRA is still the most common and simplest way for any person to bless future generations. Establishing a legacy this way can be as easy as 1, 2, 3!
1) Decide if you want to make a gift through your estate plan or beneficiary designation on an existing policy.

Donor-Advised Fund – Give Now and LaterA Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) is ideal for those that need a tax break now but aren’t sure which charities they want to support or how much they would like to give. Funds placed in a new Catholic Foundation Donor-Advised Fund are deductible immediately. The donor can then decide over time what grants will be given to qualified 501(c)(3) organizations, like Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church, that comply with the USCCB guidelines.
You can also name Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church as beneficiary to establish an amazing legacy for future generations.

Annuity Investment that Gives a Tax Break Too!A Charitable Gift Annuity (CGA) is a legacy gift made through the Catholic Foundation that can provide you with a secure source of fixed payments for life. By making a gift of cash, property or other asset to establish a CGA, you establish fixed payments from the CGA for life, receive a charitable deduction, and are able to name Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church as beneficiary at the time it is set up.
