The Marian Movement of Priests officially began in October 1972, after Rev. Fr. Stefano Gobbi (an Italian priest) felt an interior call to start the movement while praying in the Chapel of the Apparitions at Fatima. In her messages, Our Lady insistently calls upon priests, religious and lay faithful to gather together with her in fervent prayer and fraternal love, in authentic cenacles as when the first apostles gathered with her in the Upper Room in Jerusalem awaiting the outpouring of the Holy Spirit.
